life of a sailor, part 3

we have finally been liberated from the americans and i am preparing to leave aboard the lakewater, yes i know it was my last day but they let me back on for our courageousness and for still being loyal to britain, and all that stuff. the americans relied on their ground tactics but they were flawed compared to our troops. they didn't anticipate the natives very random tactics which i must say are amazing (no wonder the americans are losing). well my ship is being turned into a trade ship when originally it was a fishing ship (its amazing what war does). this is most likely the last one i write because the trade routes are crawling with pirates these days.

life of a british sailor, part 2

well at least i could still work at the docks, but its not as fun as going out to sea to get fish. plus all of these shallow fish taste bad, and the americans aren't the nicest people to us. my wife is forced along with many other women to dance for them, oh boy if i could do anything i would kill any american that gives my wife a dirty look. we had to chop alot of timber which seemed to be crucial to their work. so when we found out that they were making more ships from our labor, we went out and sabotaged the ships they were being sent to.(we chopped down the worst timber ever)

life of a british sailor

it was me last day aboard me great ship the lakewater its not the best names for a ship, but she was one of the hardiest, plus we were there during the battle of the great lakes, aye let me tell ye all about it.

we were making our way home when our lookout (good old johnny) saw warships headed toward us, and they didn't look much like a bristish ship, we were just a small ship but we had to help defend Canada from the americans. we were just about to get sorrounded when our warships came in and intercepted them, that was our cue to leave. the next morning i wake up there are some american soldiers walking in the town, during the occupationg i had to hide myself in case any of them noticed me from the fight, it was going to be a long day.

Letter from Maria to Daryl

I have volunteered to do work on the farms becuase we have about no money and you aren't here. Be careful around the man, I still want you to come back alive. The village is still receiving generous donations from the british. Another thing is that Quebec has been split into two seperate colonies. we are I beleive in, Upper Canada, now we can fully own our land becuase of the freehold system. The village is doing fine and I have much work to do before the coming winter. Be safe my love.

Guy talking about Timber

well you have your birch your rowans and your elms, i also realize no one wants to listen to me talking about this stuff...so i will talk about, ummm.....TIMBER!!!! ok when you are cutting down down a tree you have to be careful that it will not hit anyone becuase it could (will) kill them. i know from personal experiences....thats why i have no legs. anyways what is the moral we have learned today?

The Constitutional act read in front of an audience

Quebec will be divided intoUpper Canada and Lower Canada, these will act as separate Colonies. each Colony will have an elected assembly that has the power to raise taxes.Citizens of Lower Canda will continue their seigneural system while Upper Canada is guaranteed the Bristish freehold system. one seventh of all land in Upper Canada will act as clergy reserves for the Anglican church, and one seventh of all land in Upper Canada are made Crown reserves for the lieutenant-governor.

Letter from Daryl Mograine to Maria

I think that I am lost in the wilderness. I guess that should have asked where to go when Iwas talking to the slaves, but i met this man in the wild who was named john cabot (just kidding), his name was john but I didn't get his last name. he was an american so I was a bit worried but I found out that he was a soldier who was sent deep into the british territory but he sort of abandoned his troop.

Letter from Daryl Mogranie to Maria

i've arrived in a black loyalist camp for some reason, and for some reason they seem to be leaving. i know right when i got here! anyways i got the letter and i will not be long (not in the letter: just two more chapters) i think that it is a bit sad how poorly treated they are, and i would like to do something about it. i met a man that told me what was happening and it turns out that they are going to africa becuase there is some settlement for them. keep sending me letters to make me know that you are all alive.
